The Registration module registers (enrolls) patients or residents
for treatments, programs, and services. Registration are
integrated with the Census/ADT database to
reference In-house resident or outpatients.
Any person who will receive services and/or treatments, must first be
registered. Depending on the type of facility or provider the person is
usually called a patient when admitted to a medical facility, a resident when
placed in an Adult Lifecare or CCRC, a client when in daycare program.
Registration creates the account record which is required and used by the
other ADL modules.
Census
Once registered, their data becomes available for all the departments
requiring access to the patient data. For nursing homes and extended care
facilities, the Admission/Discharge/Transfer (ADT) functions of the Daily
Census processing provide added information that is needed to process the
patient. The Daily Census maintains the Patient Database,
tracking the Admissions, Discharges, Bed Retention, Leave, and Transfer information.
This data is needed for the Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, MDS, Care Plans,
Pharmacy and Dietary modules for processing.
The Registration process captures the basic patient identification
data and any significant information needed for their care. You can enter
either complete or minimum information by defining which tabbed sections
are displayed.
Quick Admit
A Quick Admit screen is available to capture the minimum data needed to invoice
and process the patient with the system. This saves time when a complex
admission process is not necessary or data will be entered at a later time.
Central Index
A Central Index tracks all patients, clients, or residents either receiving
outpatient treatments, residing in a facility or enrolled in a program.
Through the Central Index, you can view all the services and programs in which
a person is registered throughout your organization. Look up any resident or patient
and display all their information in one place, from one source.
Integrated Database
Using a Centralized Database saves time, and reduces errors by eliminating
redundant data entry that normally introduces new errors. With a Central
Database information is entered once and becomes available to all applications.
Error Checking
You can specify which screen and data fields are mandatory. The system
error checks the data being entered and issue errors or warnings if data is missing,
incomplete or or incorrect. A separated page tab will contain a complete
list of all problems detected in the data.
