Payroll is an easy-to-use and flexible module, offering a variety of
options to accommodate unique requirements of health care facilities. Although
payrolls have been successfully automated for many years, most are generic and
offer the special features required by nursing homes and LTC health care facilities.
Payroll can be generated either by entering the time sheet
data or by a direct time clock interface. The system calculates paychecks,
automatically handling:
- Federal/State/Local Withholding Taxes
- FICA, FUTA, SUTA Withholdings
- Union Dues & Initiation Fees
- Garnishee / Loan Deductions
- Allowances (uniform, meal, ...)
- Shift Differential
- Deductions & Earnings (26 ea)

- Paid Time Off Tracking
After current payroll information is entered, an Earning &
Deduction Register is printed and verified. Any errors can
be corrected and the report reprinted before generating
paychecks. After printing the checks, the payroll
is posted to the Employee Ledger (History) file.
Employee Ledgers itemize all paychecks issued, detailing earnings and deductions.
Split Departments/Shifts
Employees may split their work week in more than one department, performing
jobs at different pay rates. The paycheck clearly provides the actual
breakdown of the time and the pay rates that apply. Benefit calculations
can be made accordingly.
Staffing Regulations
Payroll, with data from the clinical assessment programs, gives you
the information you need to ensure that you have the
appropriate staff for the facility and resident population.
Paysources
Payroll accommodates employees whose wages are covered by different
funding sources.
Union Features
Payroll features can track contract rules as they apply to
union members and probationary employees; for example, the system tracks
vacation / sick / holiday accruals for multiple classes of employees.
Detailed Paycheck History
The details of every paycheck are maintained in the history files. You
can look up and print the details of any period online.
The online search enables the payroll department to answer
all the questions about the employee's wages and period of employment.
