This module enables therapists in long term care or
rehabilitation facility to register the residents to receive
treatment at available Therapy Areas. The Touch Screen Interface
allows the treatments
to be recorded at the point of care, reducing paperwork and opportunity
for error.
Registration / Enrollment
Residents can be registered to receive services from the Rehab department. This
process keeps statistics for the end of month and annual departmental reporting.
Only registered residents are presented in the rehab data entry functions to
reduce the amount of searching and names to be handled.
Treatment Orders (TX Orders)
A Registered resident can be assigned to a therapist and
Treatment Orders entered and scheduled. Any pre-scheduled
treatments are automatically printed on the Treatment Administration
Record (TAR) or displayed on the TouchMe Rehab screen. Any treatments
that are not in the profile can be added as the data is being
entered.
Treatment Administration Record (TAR)
Treatment Orders generate the Treatment Administration Record
used to document the treatments and results. The Touch screen interface
eliminates the need to have a Treatment Administration Records
during the therapy sessions. Optionally, TARs can be printed on demand.
For each treatment, the therapist records the Time and Results. the software
automatically records the therapist based on the login id. The Treatment data
updates the Rehab module and generates the charges for accounting.
Auto-Fill the Rehab Hours and minutes questions on the on the MDS RAI Form
and eliminating the need to search or call for the information.
One-Time Treatments/Evaluations
Add treatments and evaluations for directly during a Touch Screen session. Even patients
that on not On-Program (participating in the regular rehab program) can be added to the
list.
Medicare Part-B Billing
Administered treatments not only update the Rehab database but also generate and pass
pass the appropriate charges to accounting for Billing. The software will automatically
determine which charges are billable to Medicare based on the paysource billing rules.
The Daily Census data provides paysource information to determine where the charges are to
be invoiced. Applicable Posted Rehab charges are included on the Medicare Part-B bills.
Statistics and Productivity
The system generates reports to analyze the productivity of the therapists. The Month End
Departmental report details the activity and statistics of the Rehab department.
 Touch Screen Interface
Therapists no longer have to print out and fill in Treatment Records because
they can enter data (treatments, direct or indirect minutes, and results)
at the point of care. On the Rehab floor, using either wall-mounted touch screens,
or wireless, clipboard-sized tablet PCs, therapists can see a list of all their
patients. Touching the current patient's name displays that patient's Profile,
showing all of their active Rehab orders. The therapist can enter data directly,
checking off treatments as they're given, and the data automatically updates
Rehab's database. There is no additional step required, which saves time and reduces
the number of mistakes.
