Rx Profiles
Enter patient profiles, view, refill, or discontinue orders as per the physician Orders. View the
Current profile or the full history of orders in the patient record including discontinuance and
renewal dates.
Non-Rx Orders
Orders can be segregated in any number of user-defined categories, such as Dietary,
Physical Therapy, Lab, Consults, Treatments, PRNs, etc.
Laser Printed Orders / MAR / TAR
Printed on plain or pre-printed paper, dynamically created forms accommodate precise numbers
of lines or boxes necessary for the order, eliminating wasted space. Space between drug listings
is expanded, accommodating side effects and precautionary messages. Select from over
twenty-six (26) styles of Physician Orders forms and MARs.
Automatic Price Updates
Costing inventory or generating invoices based on the price of the dispensed
drug, (drug prices are updated from data supplied by the National Drug Codes (NDC) and
First Data Bank pricing.
Private, Third-Party and Drug Plan Invoicing
Invoices detail the services by date or by individual resident. Recap billing for
third parties can be produced as well. Flexible pricing methods are available,
including Average Wholesale Price (AWP), Direct Price (DP) and Recap/Adjudication
billing for Medicaid and other third parties.
Inventory Control
As Rx orders are filled, the quantities are auto-deducted from inventory.
User-Defined SIG Abbreviations
Enter directions by SIG codes and abbreviations, which expand to predefined text phrases.
Universal Drug Reference File
The system maintains a complete online reference drug database built from industry standard
databases. You have the flexibility to use a reference database from your vendor of of choice.
The Universal Drug Reference file is updated with pricing and drug information as the vendor
issues new releases.
Drug Interactions
Orders are checked for potential drug interactions and allergic
reactions. Any problems detected, the system issues Online warning
messages to alert the pharmacist. Alerts can be overridden but user
must
specify the override reason.
Precautionary Warnings
Each drug can have 24 precaution codes that can optionally print warning messages on labels,
Medication Administration Records (MARs), or forms.
Piggyback Orders
You can define an Order which is linked to several other others. When this order is selected, the system
automatically generates the piggyback order. For example: Ordering a drug can also generate a standing
lab order, and order to periodically takes patient's vitals.
Admissions Orders Sets
Setup user-defined Order Sets and you can auto-generate multiple orders by entering or selecting the
order set. Multiple orders can be generated at the
click of the mosque.,
Electronic / Fax Notification
Auto-email or fax orders to appropriate departments and/or vendors. |
