With our advanced Order Entry module, physicians can directly enter
orders, saving time and money and enhancing documentation. Nurses or unit
clerks can enter medications, treatments, from their nursing units, right where
the charts are located. Once entered a comprehensive and customizable confirmation
and verification system eliminates opportunities for error
Once Orders are confirmed, the order links directly to the resources needed to
carry it out: pharmacies, therapists, aides, transportation, practitioners, etc.
Order Entry is integrated with the Pharmacy module, so Orders can
be used to fill, dispense, and reorder drugs. Print the administration records,
dispensing, and filling labels directly on laser printers.
Documentation
Print Profiles for each resident, containing both current and discontinued orders.
Physician’s Order Sheets are prepared, at customizable intervals,
for the physician to use in renewing orders. And it automatically generates
Medication Administration Records (Mars) and Treatment Administration
Records (TARs) for use in administering and charting medications and treatments.
Advanced Verification Controls
Order Entry includes verification and confirmation. Ordered medications
are entered by a clerk, validated by the nurse, and verified by the pharmacist.
This multi-stage verification process (partially optional) virtually
guarantees freedom from errors.
