MDS Scheduling

Be more productive, stop counting the days from a Medicare admission to determine the MDS schedule. Let your system automatically calculate the next assessment dates directly from the Admission, Discharge and Transfers (Daily Census) and the last submissions. It also updates the Resident Scheduler if it has been activated.

Medicare Assessment Scheduling

The system accurately calculates PPS 14-30-60-and 90 day assessment schedules. The MDS schedule for the entire year is instantly populated as the ADT information is entered and the MDS/Care Plans are completed.

OMRA

Acronym for Other Medicare Required Assessment. Three off-cycle types of the Minimum Data Set (MDS); Signifi cant Change, Signifi cant Correction, and the OMRA. OMRA MDS must be done when all therapy services are stopped and the resident still qualifi es for Part A services by another skilled services provider.

OMRA is used to adjust the payment of a Medicare resident out of a "Rehabilitation" Resource Utilization Groups (RUG) category into a "Medical" RUG continued stay.

Time Windows

The care plan team is notified when an OMRA is due. The Assessment Reference Date (ARD) must be completed between Day 8 and Day 10. The first day without therapy is Day 1. The 8-10 day time frame provides a seven observation day look-back period to capture services being provided to the resident.
