ADL’s Dietary system analyzes meals, recipes, resident intake,
and assists the dietician in developing menus, assessing resident needs, and
printing tray cards and food labels. Menu changes, production reports, and
nutritional analysis are intuitively easy and available in-house, on demand.
Eliminate using outside services that charge several thousand dollars
annually. Quickly calculate and print the meal analysis of the sample menus.
|
Menu Planning |
Create and print menus for the meals for the day, week, and month. Menus
include food substitutions for special meal requirements. Total Recommended Daily Allowances
(RDAs) for males and females are printed under the menu.
Food Database
The module includes a sample database of common food items, which
can be modified or added to by the user. The complete Federal Handbook #10
is accessible online for reference, and handbook items can be copied
to the facility database.
Nutritional Analysis
Analyze meals, menus, recipes, and resident intake to ensure that
residents are receiving adequate nutrition and hydration. Reanalyze changes
to planned menus immediately. |
Profiles |
Profiles & Assessments
Create a complete profile of the resident’s dietary needs based
on individual preferences and medical necessity. Included with the
system is a facility library of basic menus that can be tailored to
best suit each resident’s specific needs. Further simplifying
the process, ADL’s Assessments module can automatically create
an Initial Dietary Profile and produce Dietary assessments as needed. |
Tray Cards |
Color Coded Tray Cards, Labels
Comparing the resident’s profile with the current menu, the
system prints personalized, color-coded Tray
Cards (color-coding helps tray line employees quickly identify which
meal type to place on the tray) in several formats. Preferred foods
are automatically substituted for menu items that the resident dislikes
or is allergic to. Cards can be printed on demand or in advance, with
multiple sorting options available. Labels can be printed for snacks
and supplemental feeding, with multiple sorting options available. |
Intake Studies |
|
To perform intake studies, select meals for the day and enter the
percentage of the meal consumed by the resident (use our Touch screen
CNA Assignment module). The program automatically calculates the
nutritional content of foods consumed and prints a comparison with
RDAs. The results of the resident’s nutritional analysis can be
printed for the chart.
Meal Costing and Production Reports
Based on facility recipes and planned menus, the system calculates
per-meal and per-day meal costs, which can be automatically
posted to General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules.
Production reports offer detailed information regarding the quantity
and cost of required ingredients by food class or by group.
